INTRODUCTION: Kundan Shah (Kundan) a small-time trader (middleman/intermediary for agricultural commodity) in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, made a decent living by procuring food grains from farmers, storing them in a warehouse, and selling them at market-based prices at which he could make profits.
